Who’s promoting the digital marketing?
I’ve noticed a slight tendency for the agencies that have created the digital campaigns and sites doing their own promotion instead of it being part of some PR or social media campaign. I asked a few of the emailers whether they were charging the client for this promotion and the answer was no, it was just something they were doing themselves.
I’m not sure whether this reflects pride in their work, a desire to send it to sites they read themselves or a mistrust in the ‘official’ promotional routes. Any opinions?
