Roxy Scents

by Rachel on October 24th, 2007

After writing about Roxy Parfums back at the end of August, I finally got the package last week from the company.

Roxy Blogger kit

And a nice kit it is too. Product details, bottle of Roxy eau de toilette, shower gell and 4 little samples. These are probably most important - they allow me to give samples friends to try out. As a blogger outreach kit, I love it. The notes accompanying the box a little flowery and over the top, typical marketing speak, describing the perfume as daring and confident, naturally beautiful, fun and alive.

Taking a look at the Roxy site, they are doing some non-traditional things there. They have a blog format on the site, inviting comments, a twitter feed, although it is in French and they do not follow anybody, so no conversation possible there. The ads are fun - but not embedable :( They have been running a fun competition, to create a virtual garden, the winner getting a trip to Biarritz for soemthing called the Roxy Jam, which appears to be a big party. Overall, it seems a brand that understands the audience it is after and is reaching out to them in a way that they are familiar with.

So what is the perfume like? I like it. After a fruity first balst, it mellows down to a pleasant scent, fruity and mellony. Definitely going to be using it.
