Resident Evil Zombies Releases

by Rachel on February 18th, 2008

Four hours after the release and my zombie is still alive. I got an email this morning to say it’s wandering around the NME site and it is, constrained in a header banner ad, blundering into walls and everything. When you get to the site, you log in and it shows you which one is yours.

Resident Evil Zombies on NME

I’ve been talking about this campaign all week, it’s been fun feeding the zombie and making it run round for exercise. One thing that really surprised me though was a lack of URL on the posters I’ve seen, as though the different parts of the campaign did not talk to each other. But it’s too late to rectify that situation now, I’m just going to watch the zombie and hope it survives the day.

What a con and waste of time. I entered the recent resident evil competition and as instructed spent 7 days building and topping up my zombie to full capacity to stand a chance of winning a prize. Today on the 18th as the competition was going on I thought that as instructed the better your strength and agility the more chance you had of survival. How pissed was I to see for most of the competition me not being hit and assuming that even if you get hit it is simply a damage system going by the earlier cries of the more strength and agility the more chance of survival, to watch my zombie die like anyone elses who has not wasted a week of their life on that pointless site. Last competition by them I will be entering. Sorry to mouth off here but its the only place I could find or think of to contact as competitions are usually run by the PR companies. Please send on my good wishes to whom it may concern. Thanks Kenny.

Mine lasted until about 7.30 when it got killed as well; like you I’d spent time feeding and exercising it. I’m guessing that there were enough people around who did that as well, but there has to be an element of luck involved in the competition.

The company that created the site was Green Room Digital, but they’re they most likely created it and they are not running it/designing the rules. That’s when the lawyers come in.

I see they have announced the winners on the site (Mary Campbell was the overall winner). But I can no longer access the rules, which I was going to check to see what it says about the rules - although I’m pretty sure that UK competitions don’t need some of the same info as US ones, which would give you the probabilities.
