Recruiting for the Intelligence Services

by Rachel on January 4th, 2008

The SIS or MI6 have turned to web games to drive recruitment these days. They currently offer a fun memory game where you have 2 minutes to study your back story and then get to answer questions on it. It’s well worth a play, as one of the better attempts to spice up a recruitment website.

SIS Game

I’ve always been surprised at how badly paid the seem to be, considering the responsibilities they may have, but it’s civil service, never highly paid. Reading through the FAQS I stumbled in this:

Do I need to be a British citizen? Yes. Furthermore, at least one of your parents must be a British citizen, or, at the very least, be able to show strong links to the UK. If deceased, s/he must have had such citizenship whilst alive.

Which of course raises the question of whether it’s possible to get British citizenship when you’re dead!

A good wat to attract attention to specific jobs - Do I really have what it takes, i did get 8 out of 10, not bad for a first attempt… It is true, they are poorly paid for the commitment they give to our Country, not temting enough to give it a try.
