Nokia Get out and Play
Agency Spy pointed me towards, Nokia’s new site Get out and Play which I love. Great video, interesting and engaging, I love the ‘real life game’ included in the middle of the video.

Of course, the site does not really work unless you have a fast computer, a fast connection and it’s not really accessible so it does limit the number of people who can see it. It’s always a challenge to decide whether to go with something like this if you believe that most of the target market can access it with the risk that you may annoy a smaller part who can’t.
What’s really interesting about this site though is that if I go to it from a mobile device, it does not take me to the site I see on the laptop browser, but to a page that suggests I download the N-Gage software.* N-Gage has games, profiles and the ability to add friends, building up a little social network on the device. This is all about connecting and having fun through the mobile device and I think it all works together.
*A little advice on this - the N-Gage software only works on certain versions of the phones and on certain versions of the phone system. It offers you the chance to upgrade your system - but be aware that you can’t necessarily do this easily, especially if your phone is locked to a carrier.
