Jenson Button’s Helmet

by Rachel on March 26th, 2008

The Formula 1 racing season started the other week. Jenson Button, one of the UK’s drivers, offers you the chance to design a helmet for him to wear in the GB Grand Prix on July 6.

Jensen Button Helmet

Formula 1 is a sport with a fanatical following, so advertisers play top dollar to get involved. It’s got some of the biggest audiences on the planet and followers are prepared to buy and wear stuff with your logos on because their team do. There’s been a LOT of entries for this competition, which is not related to a sponsor; this is a competition that really gives something to the winner, getting their design in the race to be seen by all. Think of how your brand could have been involved in something similar, supporting a highly followed sport or activity and giving a prize that has such an emotional impact. It’s not another ‘create your video’ contest.

    Mr. Button:

Are you refering to the decal / graphics design or the ornamental design of a helmet whose modifications contribute to improve function and result? If it is improved function and result that you are looking for, I may have a full-face helmet design which may benefit you and give you the advantage over your competitors. It may be an interest of yours to review my website. The design works well with the Hans Device and when improving peripheral vision is top priority.

I am looking forward to your response. Thank you for your time.

    Best Regards,

I’m sorry, I know the above comment is sort of spam, but I had to leave it in. It is sooooo not relevant but relevant at the same time. From someone who has got some kind of search going but no understanding of the context! I removed certain contact details ;)
