Christmas Virals
Another holiday season, another chance for agencies to dust off those game engines and wrap them up in red, white and green to ‘celebrate’ the season. There’s a lot of bad stuff out there and some good stuff…but but the videos to date are a lot more fun than the games.
First up, we have kittens and celebrities singing the 12 days of Christmas in aid of Tommy’s Charity over at rathergood.com, definitely one of the best creators of random humour out there (we like the moon…..). Laugh and donate all for a good cause.
This year, don’t write a card, send your friends a video of you singing. Or at least of someone else singing. We Wish You a Merry Christmas appears to be the song of choice and here’s 2 versions, one by vegetables and one from BigMouth Media.
National leaders like to give seasonal messages. Opposite the Queen this year, Channel 4’s alternative speech is from a ‘radical’ Muslim woman who has worn a full face veil for the last 10 years. The controversy about that will continue for a while. For an alternative to all of that though, try this one from Bush and Blair (NSFW).
Finally, a very useful ‘viral’ for those out partying in London. Westminster Online bring you the Christmas Party SMS tool. Sign up, get cab numbers sent to your phone and set the time for the reminder text to get out of there.
