Avis Challenge for Silverstone
Avis are the official hire car sponsor for the Silverstone Grand Prix and are running a contest/draw for you to win a VIP trip to the Grand Prix later this year. It’s pretty simple - go through some scenes, answer some questions and enter the draw of you get the right amount right. If you get questions wrong, you keep having the chance to try again until you get enough correct, so not totally skill based then.
To get you interested in sending the information onto friends, there’s a timer ticking away all the time. The challenge you create is to have your friends beat your time in getting the answers right, so creating a little local competition. No prizes for winning this one though.

This is a pan-European contest, in multiple languages, which is being promoted through the CRM/Email lists of Avis. The objective, according to the notification email, is to promote the company whilst getting more names onto the database, as people who are challenged opt-in to receive information. I’d love to know the results of this tactic. The site itself was made by Web Liquid; I like what they’ve done here. the graphics and the questions are all target relevant instead of seemingly grabbed from the generic pile.
