Act on CO2
The Government in the UK are showing a rather noticeable commercial at the moment, drawing attention to the use of cars and their impact on increasing CO2 levels. They use lots of engines driving around the roads, stripping the car bits from the moving parts and the call is to do some simple things, like keeping car tyre pressure the right levels.
What had me looking on the web though was the call to action - a call to search for ‘act on CO2‘. The desired government page is currently number one in organic results as well as on the paid search; my guess is they are relying on the paid result to drive people to the site. There’s no actual URL mentioned, even though actonco2.co.uk does got to the right site. This is something I’ve usually only seen when associated with things like key words on AOL but it works well when the search marketing is in action.
The search also brings up a lot of other government sites that sport the slogan, such as climate challenge, Defra. Despite the confusion in the results, the main site is clear in design and useful in information if you’re looking to do something, so well worth a look.
