Dove Hair Care Contest
Dove are repeating their ‘make a commercial’ effort that they rolled out previous with Dove Cream Oil and the Oscars. This time, it is for their Hair Care product, which tells me I’m 5 days away from beautiful hair. You mean I’m not there already, I thought Dove was all about real beauty and going with what you have. No matter, enter this contest and they will give $1 to Uniquely ME! Self Esteem Programme.
The prize for this is a trip to New York and a professional photo-shoot for you and your hair to appear in one of the future ads. To win, you load up a photo, add the copy, answer a few questions and away you go. Unlike Smarties, the creative element is relatively fixed, there are few areas to play. Most of the competition is based on how you compose your answers to the questions with the marks being given for: “1) Quality of story (on how your hair expresses your unique beauty (50%); 2) Representation of Dove® brand philosophy (25%); and 3) Quality of photo (25%).
I’m not sure this has the same kind of excitement as some of the others, it feels a little quiet in it’s approach. There’s nothing new in it, but it does give a llot of people the chance to express how they feel about their hair.

I wouldn’t recommend switching from Matrix to Dove. Matrix hair products offer professional quality which is not seen in Dove. Stick with what works for you.

Hey, doesn’t Dove do animal testing? Why on earth would they test on animals when they’re gonna give the products to humans who’s DNA’s although might be SIMILAR, differ a significant amount. We have the technology to be able to test new formulas chemically! Not nececceraly on other living things!
Dove is not what I or other people would call a sane company, so for all I and other people care, their company can go bankrupt with their disgraceful and inhumane actions.
Their new deodorant is nice, but I bet you anything that an animal got a painful rash from the testing of one of those formulas for the deodorant. Did you know anti-perspirant can cause cancer?
All in all, I spit on the world for it’s stupidity and wickedness.

Well my question to you is, do you wash your dog? Like really, someone tested those products! do you think they should have been tested on humans? Be more informed and less angry, it may do you some good, and make you happier! I love dove, and for me (I have tried everything under the sun), they have an awesome affordable line of haircare products! And they at least support some cause and a percentage of all their haircare products go to support self esteem for young girls! What are you supporting?
