Strategic vs Tactical.  What I mean here is using games as a long term part of your marketing versus using […]

Miss Bimbo

I keep an eye on virtual worlds for kids, as I think they will have a huge impact on online activities and expectations that marketers will need to be aware of. However, Miss Bimbo, as shown all over the BBC TV and the press yesterday, is probably the worst that I’ve seen. Most […]

Sunsilk Changes

It’s interesting to watch how previous clients change their looks and strategy. Sunsilk in the US had the main tagline of ‘get some hairapy’, now it’s changed to ‘life can’t wait’. The first was all about the product, the second seems to be all about inspiring women and how they change their hair […]

Thomson Hotel Reviews

As any regular traveller and web user will know, looking up other’s experiences of the airline, hotel or resort is a great way of seeing a more realistic picture than the vendors site. I’ve tended to use Trip Advisor as my first port of call to check out hotels, looking at the whole […]

Loving Penguin Books

I’m loving Penguin books at the moment, everything they are doing just hits all the right buttons with me on marketing, using digital and social media tools to connect with their customers, building up the brand as well as the individual books. I love books; I grew up with my mom always trying to stop […]

Irish Spring Greeting

On this St Patrick’s Day, Irish Spring Body Wash (apparently owned by Colgate given the URL) bring you their Oddcast powered greeting engine. Load a picture, adjust the Irish cliches and add you greetings. Mine’s set in a conference hall as that is where I am all day.
